Otaru is well known for its exceptional seafood and the Sankaku Market (三角市場) is no exception. This small, unassuming market operates daily and is lined with restaurants and seafood stalls full of freshly caught fish, live crabs, sea urchins and more. Ajidokoro Takeda is located in the centre of the market and is directly managed by the Takeda Fishery. The featured dish includes a generous serving of ikura (salmon roe), crab, and plump sea urchin, all locally sourced so just about as fresh as it can be.
