Discover: Japan’s Famous Fans

It’s no secret that Japan is famous for its culture of respect, and nowhere is this more apparent than in crowds of Japanese fans. Whether its music, theatre or sports, Japan’s adoring fans are loved around the world.

In 2018, Japan made the global headlines during the Football World Cup in Russia, and not just because of their surprise victory over Columbia. After celebrating this unexpected win, crowds of elated Japanese fans turned from the pitch to the stands, collecting plastic bottles, cups and food into bags and leaving the stadium spotless after the match had ended.

And it’s not just the fans that had the world inspired. Even after Japan were beaten by Belgium and sent home from the World Cup, the national football team cleaned their locker room and left behind a thank you note in Russian. So, why not join the crowds in Japan 2019 or 2020 to discover for yourself why Japan is known as the politest nation in the world?
