CRAFT: Kengo Kuma’s Architectural Lounge

ANA passengers passing through Naha Airport, Okinawa, now have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of famed Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. Unveiled last September, ANA’s freshly renovated lounge pays homage to Okinawan crafts, whilst providing an inviting space for premium passengers to relax before boarding the plane.

More than twice the size of its predecessor, ANA’s new lounge is unlike any other. Refreshingly stylish, traditional wood-panelled walls and generous cushioned armchairs create a space that’s surprisingly warm, despite its distinctly Japanese minimalism.
