Performed at matsuri festivals throughout Japan, yabusame is a form of traditional Japanese archery performed on horseback. Originally developed as target practice for Samurai, if you’re in Japan this week you can catch modern-day warriors performing yabusame at Oidematsuri in the city of Hakui, Ishikawa Prefecture.
