FOOD: Mochi Ice Cream
Japanese food continues to capture our imagination and mochi ice cream is the latest in a string of east-meets-west culinary mash-ups making their way onto our Instagram feeds. A western twist on a traditional Japanese sweet, balls of mochi, or pounded sticky rice, are filled with ice cream instead of the usual azuki bean paste.
Mochidoki in New York and Littlemoons in London are just two of the brands opening our eyes to these unique sweet treats. But if you can’t get your hands on them that way, why not have a go at making them yourself?
