As consumers become increasingly health-conscious and the global gaze turns east in the run-up to the Olympic Games, Japanese food – from Sushi to Soba, Yakitori to Yoshoku – has become one of the fastest growing food trends in the West.

But before you start hunting down the latest Japan-inspired food fad, we’re here to tell you that you won’t have to. Whilst previous years have seen specific styles of Japanese cooking top of the menu, in 2020 we’ll be sitting down to a full-blown Japanese feast.
