FOOD: Japan’s Most Coveted Coffee, At Home

Fans of Tokyo’s beloved Omotesando Koffee will be dancing on the tables at the news that the city’s most sought-after brew will be available to drink again. Coffee culture in Japan is thriving and Eiichi Kunitomo’s backstreet cafe was at the heart of the scene when it was forced to close its doors in 2015. In January this year, much to the relief of caffeine enthusiasts across the city, Omotesando Koffee was reincarnated as Koffee Mameya, a bean-specialist concept store encouraging you to be the barista and make their own cup of Koffee, at home.
