WELLNESS: Take a Class in Mindful Photography

Put Buddhist principles into
practice with a Zen photography workshop. Taking the lead from Buddhist
principles, photographers are beginning to advertise ‘mindful photography’ classes
and retreats – inviting people to see Japan’s cities, temples and landscapes
through fresh eyes. Tying into the trend for slow living, Zen photography
encourages a more mindful approach to capturing images – never more relevant
than in a time when we’re bombarded with imagery on a daily basis.

Keep an eye on the websites of
photographers Eric Kim,
Betty Liu and Local Milk for news of upcoming courses and retreats.
