CRAFT: Japan’s Latest Maker Space

Maker culture is booming in Japan with DIY manufacturing spaces popping up all over the country. The latest to open it’s doors, FabCafe Kyoto from Loftworks has a brand new home in the city’s hip Gojo area. Found on the first floor of creative lounge and co-working space MTRL KYOTO, Japan’s newest maker cafe invites us to get experimental with digital manufacturing whilst brushing shoulders with Japan’s most innovative designers.

Housed in a converted townhouse with over 100 years of history, at FabCafe Kyoto ancient design traditions and cutting edge creativity happily sit side by side.
