Designed for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic & Paralympic games, Masaaki Hiromura has revealed the coveted series of icons based on Japan’s first hosting of the games in 1964.
“Japanese designers, predecessors, pioneering designers, created this great legacy. Having that as our starting point, we wanted a more modern design, incorporating athletes’ dynamism and trying to express their muscle movements, yet keeping it simple.”
