FOOD: Bot-Brewed Coffee

As of last month, Tokyo is home to the world’s first robot barista. Sawyer, who now mans the counter at Shibuya’s Henna Café, puts a smile on customers’ faces by serving perfectly brewed coffee untouched by human hands. An evolution of Tokyo’s robot-run hotel, Henna Café’s one-armed robot skilfully brews freshly ground filter coffee for up to five customers at once, taking orders by scanning tickets bought from a vending machine.

Greeting customers with the claim that he makes a better cup of coffee than any human, don’t leave Tokyo without trying a cup of bot-brewed coffee to see if machines really are the future for coffee drinkers.
