FOOD: Take a Cooking Class in ‘The Nation’s Kitchen’
Known as ‘the nation’s kitchen’, Osaka is the food capital of Japan. So what better way to get stuck in than a cooking class with a local chef? Yoko of Osaka Kitchen offers the chance to learn how to make some of the region’s culinary favourites, including hunger-busting okonomi-yaki, or Osaka pancakes. With extensive cooking knowledge, learnt firstly from her mother and then honed at a cooking school in Osaka, Yoko believes an invitation to a local kitchen is one of the best ways to get to know a country.
Get in touch via the Osaka Kitchen website to book your place at Yoko’s kitchen table.
